Note: Your body is MEANT to go into labor. Given enough time, you will go into labor on your own without doing any of these additional steps. There is no need to do any of these things. However, these are fairly low-risk holistic options that you might consider, especially if you're concerned about needing a medical induction for any reason. These suggestions may help you to go into labor on your own, avoiding the need for an induction. Or, if an induction does become necessary, these may help prepare your body so that the induction is more likely to be successful.
Spend 20-30 minutes per day in a hands-and-knees position. Options include crawling on hands and knees, child's pose, polar bear pose, or on knees with head and arms resting on birth ball. Can break this into several shorter times if needed.
Spend time daily sitting on birth ball: hip circles, figure 8s with hips, pelvic rocks (back and forth and side to side).
Practice deep slow breathing, especially during moments of emotional stress or physical challenge (like during the hands-and-knees position). Aim to count rapidly to 15 in your head as you inhale slowly, and then a rapid count to 15 as you exhale.
